Detox Day 6

Posted in Lori's Corner, Weekend Update by Lori

I have completed my 3rd day of organic juices only.  I had a twinge of hunger earlier in the day, around 11:30 am, while out doing errands.  It lasted a few minutes and then it was gone.  I have also noticed a difference in my taste buds with the juices I am drinking.

Yesterday I had an emotional day, the cleansing can bring up many issues.  As I worked through the issues I was fine, but noticed an unbelievable urge to go out for dinner.  Just to sit and relax with food (probably lots of food).  I didn’t of course but again very interesting to want that even though I was not hungry.

Also had a Reiki treatment this evening, thank you Sarah, www.sarahsoulutions.com, it was very healing and I feel wonderful tonight.

If you choose to do a detox please be aware of the emotions that may come up from it and be prepared to accept them and work through what you may learn.  I am ready for a peaceful and restful night of sleep and wish you the same.

Detox day 4

Today was my first day of just organic fruit and vegetable juices.  That’s right no food.  I am amazed that I am not hungry at all.  Although my stomach is making some great sounds, I don’t feel physical hunger.

I have noticed that my thoughts have gone to food a couple of times during the day, mostly at lunch time.  I kept thinking “oh I have to make something” and then I would remember that I am not eating.  Very interesting, that even though I am not hungry still thought it was “time” to eat.  hmmm?

There are warnings in the book about the clarity that will come and how people make major life changes (relationships, jobs, etc).  This could prove to bevery interesting following so shortly after the James Ray 3 day seminar.   I look forward to whatever may come over the next week or so.

On the more physical side, I have to brush my teeth every few hours, they feel like I just woke up, it’s all the toxins.  I also bought a tongue scraper and do that a bunch of times daily.  It’s amazing how the body gets rid of stuff.

I also worked out at Cutting Edge Fitness tonight (weight training) and my trainer didn’t notice any drop off in strength, sweet.

I am excited to be sharing the changes that I feel and go through during this detoxification.  If you have any questions please email me.

Day 2 Detox

I am on my second day of my detoxification, I am only eating organic fruits, vegetables, rice and lentils.  So far I feel great, still keeping up my activity, and other normal routines.  My challenge comes tonight and tomorrow as I cook for clients and am not allowed to  taste anything.   On day four I switch to only  organic fruit and vegetable juices, about 1200 calories a day to keep my energy source flowing.   I have done this before and went 5 days,  I am looking forward to going at least 7 days this time.

Cleansing my body and my mind, it’s all great.

Optimist or pessimist, it really does make a difference

Researchers found that women who see the glass as half full are at a lower risk for developing heart disease, and have a lower risk of dying from any cause, than those who see the glass as half empty.

I am not sure a study actually had to be done, somethings we just know.  Having a positive attitude and seeing the good all around you instead of the bad makes you happier.  Being happy tends to reduce stress, stress is the cause of almost all illness in one way or another.

If thinking positive is not your natural thought, start to make a point of noticing your negative thoughts.  Once you become aware of the negative you can make a point of looking for the positive and thinking that way.

By changing your thoughts you really can change your life.  If you think you are just not that kind of a person who can change their thoughts, remind yourself again that it is just a thought.  Thoughts can always change, you have complete control over your thoughts, no matter what is happening in your life, your thoughts are controlled 100% by you.

I know you can do this, if one person can, then all people can.  By creating thoughts, feelings, and actions you will create the life you have only dared dream.

I just returned home from a 3 day seminar in San Diego hosted by James Ray.  It was incredible, I won’t be giving you the details of what we did, however I will say that the learning was immense.  I am so grateful that I am able to attend these kind of seminars that quite honestly change my very being.  I know that with each course I take, my willingness and ability to change me grows.  I get so very excited about my own growth and  that it spills into my coaching as well.   I am moving forward with joy and abundance in my heart and soul.  I am  thrilled to share my joy with all of you.   Thank you for being in my life, I am truly blessed.

Summer is finally here, and as the temperature heats up, it’s much easier to eat light.
Shrimp is an easy low calorie choice that tastes GREAT.  Try it cold, shrimp cocktail, or hot off the grill cooked with bay seasoning.  It’s simple, it’s quick and it delicious.  Served hot or cold, Shrimp is great on a mixed greens salad.
Shrimp cocktail also makes a great snack in the afternoon, it will keep your hunger at bay so that you can make a healthy choice for dinner.    Enjoy!

With the holiday weekend upon us, BBQ’s, parties, and drinking abound.  Get your water in, 6-8 glasses (8 ounces) daily.  Start your morning with a glass or two, right at the sink, just drink.  At parties and BBQ’s if you are drinking alcohol, follow the every other rule, 1 drink, 1 water.  It keeps you hydrated, and it cuts down on calories.

Water it does your body good!
